Evidence-Based Training
Discover how training designed for your unique anatomy can break through limitations and reimagine what your body is capable of.
Why BetterFit Exists
BetterFit was created because I saw a gap between rehabilitation and fitness.
I’ve experienced both sides of that gap. I spent 10 years owning a CrossFit gym and also worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting. I saw people at both ends of the spectrum; people who were injured and needed rehabilitation, and people who were ready to get stronger but didn’t know how to bridge the gap between the two.
Clients would come to me after physical therapy and say, “My PT told me to take it slow.”
But what does “take it slow” actually mean?
How do you know what movements are safe?
How do you rebuild strength?
How do you trust your body again?
And how do you transition from being cleared from rehab to confidently training in a gym?
I also saw another common problem: people often focused on the site of pain rather than the movement system as a whole.
A shoulder hurts but is the shoulder really the problem?
A knee hurts but what is happening throughout the rest of the body when you squat?
A back hurts but how are you breathing, bracing, and creating movement through your hips and spine?
The body doesn’t move in isolated parts. It moves as a system.
That’s where BetterFit comes in.
We are the in-between the bridge between post-rehabilitation and traditional fitness.
We help you learn how to move your body as a whole, rebuild foundational movement patterns, develop strength, and gain the confidence to return to the activities you love.
BetterFit isn’t physical therapy, and it isn’t just another workout.
We teach you how to move better so you can train better.
Because being discharged from rehab shouldn’t be the end of the journey. It should be the beginning of learning what your body is capable of.
